Heart of the Home Cleaning (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a domestic cleaning service operating in Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. Our website is heartofthehomecleaning.co.uk. For any data protection enquiry, contact us at info@bookaclean.co.uk.

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect what you type into our quote form:

• Your name
• Your email address and phone number
• Your postcode
• Your property details (number of bedrooms and bathrooms)
• Your cleaning preferences (how often, how many hours)
• The price we quoted you

We do not take payments through this website, so we never ask for or receive your card details. We do not create an account for you and we do not ask you to set a password.

3. How we use your data

We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry. When you complete the quote form, your answers are sent to us by email so that we can contact you about the clean you asked about. We may send you an email confirming that we have received your enquiry.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Our lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

4. Who else handles your data

• Resend - delivers the enquiry email to us and the acknowledgement email to you. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel - hosts this website. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Postcodes.io - when you enter a postcode, we send just that postcode to this free public lookup service to work out the local area name. No other detail about you is sent with it.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we will only use providers who offer the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

5. Cookies and site analytics

This site sets no cookies, and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. There is nothing to consent to, so we do not show a cookie banner.

We store nothing in your browser at all. If you close the tab part-way through the quote, your answers are gone and you start again.

If we ever add analytics or an advertising pixel, this section will be updated at the same time and you will be asked to consent first.

6. How long we keep your data

7. Data security

This website is served over HTTPS. Your enquiry is delivered to our email inbox, access to which is limited to the people who need it to arrange your clean. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

8. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Ask us to delete it
• Ask us to restrict how we use it
• Receive the details you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form

To exercise any of these, email info@bookaclean.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
